Design and Production
We have developed a vast stock of standard stages available to hire, from 12m to 35m wide, along with every supporting site structure you can imagine from video screen supports and PA towers to camera platforms, and bridges to spot pods and VIP viewing platforms. We believe that steel structures provide us with the necessary core strength to deliver event stages and structures engineered to be safe and practical. But what really sets us apart is our ability to design and manufacture completely bespoke solutions. Whether you want a stage that has that ‘wow’ factor, a temporary building, camera platforms or something a little more artistic, we can help.
Health and Safety
Health and safety is at the heart of everything what we do, and we are fully compliant with all global build, event and de-rig regulations. As well as ensuring our own working practices are safe, we are passionate about inspiring others in the industry to work to the same level. In April 2015 the new Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations came into force in the UK. Ahead of their introductions we spearheaded an industry group and wrote and released the ‘Guidance for the Management & Use of Stages’. Download a copy of the guidance here.
Skills and Training
We know that a great product means nothing without great service and that requires great people; people whom you can trust to deliver your project on time, to spec and with a smile. To safely deliver the London 2012 Olympics in compliance with CDM regulations we invested £110,000 into training across all areas of the business, and we have ensured this commitment has continued with ongoing development programs. From our CAD designers who are busy developing new products and bespoke stages or engineers calculating weight loading capacities, to our fabricators who work tirelessly from our on-site manufacturing workshop, to the stage-builders, riggers and project managers who you see working out on site, you can rest assured that you have the best in the business to deliver your event infra-structure.
Our head office is based near Bristol in the West of England, where our sales, design and production teams are integrated in a suite of offices, ensuring production continuity across an entire project. Although Bristol remains our home – servicing events across the UK and Europe – we benefit from a network of trusted, global international production partners, giving you access to the same Serious Stages’ products and services, no matter where you are in the world. Our partners are located in Scotland, the Middle East, South America, the USA and Australia.
