Serious Stages Ltd is one of Europe's most experienced companies in the supply for sale or hire of temporary staging, buildings and special structures. The Company is involved in the building of stages and structures at more than 400 one off musical events per year. As well as this we undertake longer term installations annually e.g. Ice rinks for Glasgow & Leeds City Councils, and we have a long term building project running at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedford which has been up for 6 x years. Our stages range from small stages for local events, to large roofed stages and ancillaries for many of the best known festivals in the country including Glastonbury, Leeds, Reading, Womad, Big Chill, to name a few.
Our policy of continuous investment in equipment, personnel, operational technology, Health and Safety and PPE equipment as well as structural safety, ensures that our stages and structures are tailored to the requirements of each event and meet all the relevant safety standards. Full time staff are employed in all the key areas of the design and drawing, production and construction process. We bring in specialist contractors to boost the very busy summer season in the UK. Serious stages offers full technical back up with in house 3-D CAD drawings and engineering calculations. Chartered Engineers are also retained where appropriate.
